Adolescent Psychology
Supporting teenagers through emotional, social and developmental challenges while strengthening family relationships.
Adolescence is a period of significant change and growth. I support young people to navigate challenges with confidence while helping strengthen the relationships and supports that promote emotional wellbeing and resilience.
How I Can Help
Supporting Teenagers to Navigate Life's Challenges with Confidence and Connection
At Willowbright Psychology, I provide compassionate, evidence-based support for adolescents through an attachment-informed approach. I understand that while teenagers are developing independence, strong and secure relationships remain one of the most important foundations for emotional wellbeing.
My goal is to help young people better understand themselves, develop effective coping skills and build confidence in navigating life's challenges while supporting the important relationships that contribute to their wellbeing.
Attachment Informed approach
Attachment refers to the emotional bonds we develop with important people throughout our lives. While attachment is often discussed in relation to infancy and childhood, these relationships continue to play a significant role during adolescence.
Our attachment-informed approach focuses on understanding the emotional experiences underlying behaviours, strengthening emotional awareness and supporting healthy relationships within families.
When young people feel understood, accepted and supported, they are often better able to manage stress, regulate emotions and navigate challenges.
