Helping parents understand behaviour, strengthen connection and respond confidently to their child's emotional needs.

Supporting Parents to Build Strong, Secure and Connected Relationships

Parenting can be one of life's most rewarding experiences, but it can also be one of the most challenging. Many parents find themselves wondering:

  • Why is my child behaving this way?

  • Am I responding in the right way?

  • How can I help my child manage their emotions?

  • Why does parenting feel so difficult at times?

  • How can I strengthen my relationship with my child?

At Willowbright Psychology, I provide attachment-informed parenting support to help parents better understand their child's emotional needs, strengthen family relationships and feel more confident in their parenting journey.

My approach is grounded in the understanding that children thrive when they feel safe, connected and understood. Parenting support is not about achieving perfection, it's about building strong relationships that help children develop resilience, emotional wellbeing and confidence throughout life.

Supporting Parents

Parenting does not come with a manual, and every child is unique.

Many parents seek support when they are feeling:

  • Overwhelmed or exhausted

  • Unsure how to respond to challenging behaviours

  • Concerned about their child's anxiety or emotional wellbeing

  • Struggling with family conflict

  • Navigating developmental transitions

  • Experiencing a loss of confidence in their parenting

Seeking support is not a sign that you are failing as a parent. In fact, it often reflects a deep commitment to understanding and supporting your child.

Attachment-Informed Approach

Attachment refers to the emotional bond that develops between children and their caregivers.

Attachment-informed parenting does not mean being a perfect parent. In fact, secure attachment is built through everyday moments of connection, responsiveness and repair.

When children experience challenges, behaviours often reflect underlying emotions or unmet needs rather than deliberate attempts to misbehave.

My approach helps parents understand what may be happening beneath the behaviour and respond in ways that strengthen connection while supporting healthy boundaries.
