Our relationships with ourselves and others can have a significant impact on emotional wellbeing. Through an attachment-informed approach, I help adults better understand patterns in their relationships, build self-compassion and develop healthier ways of coping with life's challenges.

An Attachment-Informed Approach to Adult Therapy

Our earliest relationships often shape how we view ourselves, connect with others and respond to stress throughout life. Attachment-informed therapy recognises that many emotional difficulties are influenced by our experiences of connection, safety, trust and relationships. These experiences can impact how we manage emotions, cope with stress, navigate conflict, build and maintain relationships, respond to challenges and view ourselves and others. Attachment-informed therapy is not about blaming the past. Rather, it helps us understand how past experiences may continue to influence present difficulties and how new experiences can support growth, healing and wellbeing. By developing greater self-awareness and self-compassion, many people find they are able to build healthier relationships with themselves and those around them.
